Ingredients:

  • 16 oz firm tofu block

  • 1 tablespoon black pepper

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 2 medium yellow peaches

  • 1 ½ tablespoon soy sauce

  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger

  • ½ tablespoon honey

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for pan frying

  • 1 tablespoon sliced green onions

Instructions:

  • Pat dry the tofu before and after cutting the tofu into cubes

  • Toss black pepper with tofu in a bowl

  • Toss cornstarch with the black peppery tofu

  • Set aside the cornstarch covered tofu while preparing the peach sauce

  • Peel and slice the peaches

  • Puree the peach slices until liquefied

  • Combine the pureed peach with soy sauce, ginger, garlic and honey

  • Pour oil into a non-stick frying pan on a medium high heat

  • Brown the tofu cubes with the oil for 3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown

  • Add the peach sauce and coat the tofu cubes with the sauce

  • Add the green onions before serving
